Elyssa:
- "Catch
22" by
Joseph Heller Classic satire about World War II. I really relate to
the main character, Yossarian. And Major Major, for that matter.
- "To Kill a
Mockingbird" by Harper Lee Everyone should read this novel about
prejudice in the South. There will be a quiz. "Alice in Wonderland and
Through the Looking Glass" by Lewis Carroll Need I say more?
- "The Wheel
of Time"
series by Robert Jordan Great character development in this immense
fantasy series.
- "A Clockwork
Orange"
(but not the bad movie) by Anthony Burgess Oops, I first read this without
realizing there was a glossary in the back! It was like immersing myself
in a foreign language. Science fiction AND satire. Yay!
- "Colorado
1870-2000" by
W.H. Jackson and John Fielder Fascinating
"then" vs. "now" photography. Check it out at the library (it's expensive!).
- "Assassin's
Apprentice"
series by Robin Hobb
This fantasy series has a unique perspective and interesting characters.
